The revival of natural health and proper nutrition has spread rapidly in the U.S. I am in this group and have learned a lot about going to God to maintain my temple. I use a miswak tooth-cleaning twig instead of a toothbrush. I drink living water from a spring I found on findaspring.com. I consume raw dairy products, and I strive to eat foods that will nourish this earthly vessel. Those are just random samples of the changes I have made, but I hear some Christians say there are some health practices I cannot do.
Someone revealed to me that 30 years ago he tried to help a few believers with herbs, but some thought using them was wiccan or demonic. Plants, fungi, resins, etc, are used for ‘magical’ purposes, but anything can be used in that way. Science is the same. There were also Christ followers who believed that all modern (new age) medicine is evil. You can even find professed Christians that believe using any remedy, whether natural or not, is evil.
Today, many Christians believe that herbs and modern man-made medicine are okay but not other things, like crystals, color therapy, light therapy, or body stretching? We must remember that almighty God created human beings, colors, shapes, crystals, and everything else we find on earth for a purpose (Psalm 24:1)(Colossians 1:16). What he made is Good (Genesis 1:31).
For example, crystal healing is ancient; it’s not “new age,” like modern medicine. This was one of the first healing tools Gd introduced me to (Isaiah 54:11-12). (The benefits of living water would be first – Zechariah 14:8, John 7:38, Matthew 10:42). I have personally used crystals for minor aches, and I place sun-charged crystals in my drinking water. When I drink this water, I feel energized. Problems, like constipation, are relieved, and it tastes delicious. The sun is our source of energy, and it gives life to everything on earth, like Christ Jesus (Malachi 4:2)(Revelation 21:23).
God made us and all of His creation with some kind of force or energy, and these “energies” have color. We must absorb various colors. If we take a look around, we see color all over the earth, and this is just a symbol of the color in the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:15-21) (Isaiah 54:11,12).
I believe certain health methods are frowned upon by Christians because we have been conditioned to think this way. But we must test things because we don’t follow the world’s lies (Romans 12:2). Some “developed” countries have embedded the idea that the natural healing powers of God’s earth are nothing to man’s modern medicine; their creations are more sophisticated. The Creator expects us to make things, but we should never become arrogant. Pride always leads to a great fall.
If we go back in history, we find some of these people scoffed at and mocked primitive remedies from wise women and felt females should be largely excluded from healing work. A chunk of these men were “professed Christians.” Though there were and are good male healers. Luke is featured in the NT, and of course, Jesus, our Healer & Shepherd. I think a man or men should lead the healing ministry of each city church, but a yin-yang collection of healers is good. Real men of Gd would not treat women with such disdain.
What was the outcome of their creations? Medications that put a band-aid on an ailment. The ones that fix one problem usually create another eventually. Why? Because it’s made by people who corrupt Gd’s gifts. Hippocrates is not the father of modern medicine; that’s an insult.
These people are making certain advancements simply because it was prophesied = Daniel 12:4. You can tell because things are accelerating quickly. So, we know who gave many of these people their knowledge and understanding. Intellect can be natural, from evil spirits, or a spiritual gift from Gd (2 Thessalonians 2:9)(Daniel 1:17)(1 Corinthians 12:8). Just as demons fooled ancient people by giving them healing knowledge but false gods and witchcraft, they do the same today. Atheism is popular in this field. Most modern medicines are not natural and throw the body out of balance. Gd-gifted chemists would not create that. Christ-led inventors also wouldn’t create a machine for diagnosing that harms the earth or increases the risk of cancer. The medical industry today complicates healing when health maintenance is simple.
Some people are seeing this and are waking up to the powers of God’s mother earth.
If we look at some underdeveloped places or go back in time, we’ll see that many humans on the earth were (and are) using these normal healthful things. The U.S has de-evolved from its natural roots for an exchange of highly toxic chemicals, man-made pesticides, extreme pollution, health idolatry, and greed. Man [6] has done severe damage to the earth in just a few hundred years and continue to do so, not caring about the consequences because they’re obsessed with advancing. Why? Because ‘the beast’ sits in the seat of power. Gd allows the enemy to control them to hasten his plan. These ‘advancements’ will be used to control people as they will deny care to citizens that don’t bow down to their demands. Govts also like to force medical things on citizens, such as vaccine injections (penetration). Hospitals steal DNA from people unknowingly and store it indefinitely. Of course, they always have a good reason.
Understand that I’m not against all modern health advances, as they can be helpful. One big problem is that the industry promotes pride of life and makes health an idol (though one can find this in the natural health world as well). They’re useful for emergencies, like surgeries (which some ancient societies performed without modern technology). But, with knowledge, a decent diet, and taking a holistic approach to health, there should be rare occurrences where a believer goes to a conventional secular doctor. AI and robotics will eventually replace most secular medical professionals, but it can’t replace Christian healers because we operate in the Spirit. For example, some ailments are spiritually rooted (1 Corinthians 11:30). Neglecting that aspect could mean an ailment keeps coming back or won’t be cured until you repent (James 5:15-16).
Each local city ecclesia is supposed to have spiritual healers (1 Corinthians 12:9,28). The word used for healing refers to miraculous healing and physical remedies; it’s used three times in the NT = spirit, soul, and body (1 Thess 5:23). The root word refers to wholeness as well. These people analyze your whole health and may use “alternative health” solutions. Most city churches will also have secular health professionals that should work with the gifted (as they may not have the spiritual gift). After evaluation, healers may refer a person to one of those people. Understand that Gd can give this talent to people who were never in the health field; it goes beyond the physical.
For example, he can give the teaching gift to those who were never teachers. I explore the ‘healers’ role (and many others) in my second collective worship booklet. Jesus wants us to depend on him, not the world, and work together as a family. Sadly, I don’t see this happening. There are many imbalances.
Now, the problem with some of these “alternative health” practices is not the method, it is what accompanies it. They use healing elements or bodily positions, combined with “demonic doctrine,” and we think, well, that can’t be right. Well, it’s not right. Taking something good and tainting it is what this world is all about.
Some people who use herbs believe that they heal their spirit (breath of life). That’s true in a sense, but we know that True Spiritual healing comes from Jesus Christ. So, as you use various healing methods, don’t meditate on what they believe but on what you believe day and night (Joshua 1:8, & Psalm 1:2), as Biblical meditation brings healing to your whole being.
So, what does this mean? Well, to me, it means you should look to God for answers. You will know because it will not contradict His Word. We all have strengths and weaknesses; it may not be wise for you to explore certain things. Judge yourself and be honest.
We have liberty to use various healing knowledge and modern advances available to us, as long as it doesn’t conflict with our faith. All true knowledge is Gd’s and all the people he created (Psalm 24:1). We have the Holy Spirit, sacred scriptures, and our Christian family to help us. If we constantly gain spiritual discernment and counsel, we should not err.
As a Christian healer, my job includes exploring the options available for health maintenance and extracting truth. I filter through various studies, teachings, books, and use any special knowledge Gd gives me (Ecclesiastes 12:9-10)(Daniel 1:17)(1 Corinthians 11:30). Discernment, knowledge, and wisdom is needed. If God is not giving you clarity about some healing method or science, just leave it alone.
I also think it’s important that people don’t encourage others to do something that goes against their conscience (Romans 14:23)(1 Corinthians 10). If a believer refuses modern medical treatments, let them be. The same for any natural health remedies. I’ve tried to help some people who won’t listen. We can’t get into fruitless arguments about stuff like this or let our ‘freedom’ become an idol.
