God’s earth is a healing earth. I am amazed at the plethora of choices He left here to heal our earthly bodies. This is a continuance from my previous post. So …you may want to read that one… In the last post, I went over how to cleanse your crystal. Now, I’m going to offer a few simple healing methods that you might want to try.
The key to getting stones to assist in healing is keeping them near you. And, just like with food and herbs, it is a process. Okay, here are a few practical ways to add crystals to your health plan.
Toast and Sip Your Healing
You can drink the healing powers of various crystals and gemstones by charging water with them. Get your safe stone, and put it in short glass filled with fresh spring water (If you don’t have that, just use purified water). Cover the glass. You can place it out in the sun or on a windowsill, and let it sit there for a few hours. The vibration of the stone should harmonize with the water, and you will reap the benefits. I think clear quartz crystals are some of the safest stones to use for this purpose.
You can also just sit your stone on a selenite slab or under the sun or moon for a few hours by itself. When charged, you can place it inside the water, but you should wait a few hours before you drink because this will help the fusion.
Since this water does not last very long, you can also turn your charged water into a preserved blend and keep it in a dark glass bottle with a tight stopper. You simply take 50% of your water and 50% vodka, brandy, or unfiltered apple cider vinegar. This will help stop bacteria growth and extend its life.
You can take this whenever you want, but be sure to label it. (Always dilute with fresh spring water before you apply it to your face or eyes)
*Warning* Some stones are not safe to charge or place in water because they may dissolve or cannot be ingested. You can find a short list on our Resources page. If you cannot charge your selected stone in water, you can also do an indirect approach if you still want to ingest its healing properties. You can take a small glass (shot glass etc) and place the tumbled or polished stone in there. Then, place the smaller glass in a larger glass filled with water, and then place that under the sun/moon. Or, you can just place some stones around the glass of water.
*Also, some stones cannot be placed in the sun for long hours because they may fade or crack, so make sure you will not damage the stone before you do one of the methods. And be sure your stone is smooth and does not have any cracks or impurities.
Chill and Heal
Another option to consider is placing the stone on your body. You simply lay down, chill or relax, and place the stone on the affected area (or energy center). Wait for it…hear some music…pray..or whatever you want to do, and mild aches and pain might subside. (You could also just bring the crystal near your energy field. Stones do not need to touch your body)
Sometimes it takes longer than other times; relief varies for me. I have used a clear quartz crystal for mild headaches, and they have subsided quickly. I simply place the crystal on my head and relax. The most known quartz crystal for relieving headaches is amethyst. I have used moonstone for minor menstrual cramps, and the pain was muted.
You can also take a nice, calming bath (with a pure beeswax candle perhaps) and place a few of the stones in there with a tbsp of sea salt or clay. Or, you can drop a few drops of your preserved blend in the bath as well. That might work better if you don’t want to accidentally sit on a stone. Make sure that your bath water is filtered and that you are using a safe stone. You might need to check the mohs hardness scale.
Wear Your Healing
This is the most popular way to keep a stone near you. I like to wear all kinds of jewelry made of various stones, crystals, silver and copper, which I have collected from my travels. You can find a lot of vendors online, including eBay and Etsy. What you put on your skin goes in you, so be sure that when you buy your jewelry, you cleanse it properly and are sure of its quality.
Feel Your Healing
You can also take your stones of choice and leave them around your home or office. You will still reap some of the benefits that will assist in healing. But, it may not be as strong as wearing it or drinking it.
Two stones you may want to leave around your home or office are Tourmaline and Amethyst as they can be especially helpful. Tourmaline can cancel out harmful radiation pretty well, and amethyst is known to be calming, like lavender.
If you are using a stone for direct healing purposes (ex. placing directly on a person’s body), you should cleanse (or clear) the stone after a session as the crystal may need to be reset to its natural, balanced state.
However, it is said that Selenite & Kyanite are ‘self cleansing,’ so you may want to cleanse them every now and then. See what works for you. All other stones you will want to cleanse routinely to give them a fresh start.
There, now you have various methods to start healing yourself with another part of God’s Creation. Remember, it is best to have a customized, holistic plan to tackle issues. I focus on my spiritual, soul, and physical health to cover all bases. And when I can, I use crystals with the connecting herb or food that matches my unique makeup. I really like using stones because they are reusable. As long as you care for them, they should be your friends for many years to come.
If you are going to be studying about crystal healing, be sure you are in constant communication with God because there is a lot of heshblue out there. This is toxic, so you must be grounded in God’s Word so that you are not deceived.
